What are the different types of thin desks?
There really isn't a huge number of different thin desks on the market, this is because most of them have been designed to take up as little space as possible, this means that there can't be any craziness in the design.

How does a thin desk work?
Thin desks are just standard desks, they are just a little bit shallower, this means that they tend to be under 30" deep, so they are not going to be taking up too much of your room.
One of the thin desks I am going to talk to you about is actually a portable desk, it just folds right on up when you are not using it, that may be worth considering if you are really pressed for space.
What to look for in the best thin desks?
Due to being a bit smaller than standard desks, there isn't a whole lot going on with a thin desk. You just need to be on the lookout for the following:
- It isn't that deep. Sub-30" is the best
- It is made from sturdy materials
- You still have a decent amount of desk space to utilize
- It looks great
Remember, if you have children, it may be worth getting a thin desk. Even if you are low on space, there are provable benefits to having a dedicated area that one can study from.

This desk may be unbranded, but that doesn't mean that you should be turning your nose up at it. It still works tremendously well. It is just 18.9" deep and you still have plenty of space for a laptop or a small keyboard and a monitor.
